Oregon dominated the first half and held a 44-23 advantage at halftime before the Golden Bears came out firing to start the second half. Cal opened up with a 19-5 run to pull within 49-42 on Robertson's three 6 1/2 minutes into the half.
Tajuan Porter led a balanced offensive attack with 24 points and No. 16 Oregon built a 21-point halftime lead on its way to an 81-63 victory over California in the Pac-10 tournament semifinals Friday night.
Maarty Leunen posted 13 points, five rebounds and five assists while Aaron Brooks added 10 points and six assists for the fourth-seeded Ducks (25-7), who face either USC or Washington State for the championship.
Ryan Anderson and Theo Robertson each had 17 points for the Golden Bears (16-17) while Robertson grabbed 12 rebounds.
Friday's game was opposite of last year's semifinal between the teams, won by Cal in double overtime. The teams split their regular-season meetings this year.
The Bears got as close as six points with 7:17 remaining, but Oregon outscored them 22-10 to end the game.
Oregon is surging again after two down seasons in which it won no more than 15 games. It notched its 25th victory for the first time since the 2001-02 team won 26 before losing to Kansas in an NCAA tournament regional final.
Oregon was all over Cal from the start, as Hairston made a layup, Porter hit a three and Taylor dropped in a layup of his own to give the Ducks a 13-4 lead just four minutes into the game.
Then, after a Robertson three-point play brought Cal within six, Porter nailed a jumper to ignite eight-straight Oregon points that pushed the Ducks' advantage to 26-12 with 8:49 left in the first half. Oregon came back with yet another 8-0 run to extend its lead to 20, 36-16, on a Hairston dunk with 3:38 remaining.
The Ducks took a 44-23 advantage into the locker room.
